Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

This policy explains what data Renbase (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the MarkView extension for Airtable and the Renbase website at renbase.app, and how we handle it. We keep the footprint deliberately small.

What we collect

  • Account data. When you sign in to renbase.app we store your email address, and — if you use Google sign-in — your name and profile picture as provided by Google. This identifies your account and lets us show the license keys you own.
  • Airtable identifiers. When you export from the MarkView extension, we receive your Airtable user id and base id. These are used only to meter free usage and to apply the entitlement unlocked by your license key.
  • Document content you export. To generate a PDF, the extension sends the rendered HTML of the content you chose to export. It is processed in memory to render your PDF and returned to you — we do not store your document content.
  • Purchase data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and the email you used at checkout so we can issue and email your license key. We never receive or store your card details.

How we use it

Solely to provide the service: authenticate you, generate your PDFs, meter free usage, apply the plan your license unlocks, deliver license keys, and provide support. We do not use your data for advertising.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with service providers that operate the product:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
  • Email delivery (Lark/Feishu SMTP) — sending login codes and license-key emails.
  • Our hosting provider — running the Renbase servers.

Retention & your rights

We keep account, entitlement, and purchase records for as long as your account exists and as needed for accounting. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us; we’ll action deletion requests except where we must retain records for legal or accounting reasons.

Security & children

We use TLS in transit and restrict access to our data stores. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data. MarkView is a productivity tool not directed to children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
